Eid Mubarak

Eid al Fitr marks the end of a month full of blessings, the holy month of Ramadan. The day of Eid al Fitr is a joyous day for those who have return to their state of purity ( fitrah ). On this auspicious day I wish to seek forgiveness from all my fellow Muslims, wherever they may be.

Ramadan Unplugged: The Last Ten Days

Muslims have spent two-thirds of the month of Ramadan in physical restraint and silent contemplation, and it is in the last third – the last ten days of Ramadan – where the remembrance of God approaches its peak… More here

Unfortunately at my place, normally the last ten nights of this holy month of Ramadan is spent at shopping complexes, night bazaars and etc. During the first 10 days, the masjids and suraus are full of Muslimin and Muslimat but as the days goes by, the numbers continue to dwindle…. 

The last 10 days of Ramadan

Sayyidatina Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: I asked the Messenger of Allah: ‘O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night is the night of Qadr, what should I say during it?’ He said: ‘Say: O Allah, You are Oft-Pardoning and You love to pardon, so pardon me.’”(Narrated by Imam Ahmad, Imam Ibn Majah, and Imam Tirmidhi).

Sayyidina Abu Hurairah quoted Allah’s Messenger as saying: “Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while nourishing his faith with self-evaluation, expecting reward from Allah, will have all of his previous sins forgiven.” [Narrated by Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim).
